Rebirth Therapy
Rebirth therapy, a dynamic method of meditation if practiced regularly can bring transformation of the heart and the mind. Unlike other passive methods of meditation, it is such a powerful technique that digs out the accumulated impressions and suppressions gathered since childhood or even longer. Usually after practising the rebirth therapy, one feels born anew, fresh, and light – like a second birth. Swamiji’s emphasis is on meditation which is about inner transformation. Only then a new individual is born.
This method comprises of four stages – rapid breathing, expression, watch breath and lie down dissolve. During chaotic breathing, one breathes in and out rapidly. The next stage is where one remains silent and allows the free expression of latent, suppressed emotions in the form of tears, laughter, and prayer recitation. This is followed by a phase of complete relaxation where the focus is on the incoming and outgoing breath. The final stage is to simply lie down, freeze, forgetting everything – the body, the mind, forget yourself and simply dissolve into nature, existence. When you come out you will come out as a totally new being.
The rebirth therapy can reduce violence and create a sane individual who can bring peace, harmony, love and celebrate life. Without having a healthy mind, one cannot be healthy physically.
