Love (4)

This is what you hear from celebrities and people who want to get married or relate physically and emotionally with their much younger counterpart. Many people are dumb-founded or silenced when they are told this statement.

See the immense wrong the absence of love has done to our civilisation! We have allowed ourselves to become victims of our mind and the gross emotions of the heart. If this situation continues, then it may well become irreversible. Already some people believe we have reached a point of no return.

“A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave only,” rightly said Mahatma Gandhi. Those who are not brave stop at what nature has given them. At most, they explore new ways of enjoying their sensuality. Sexual pleasure, for example, becomes pornography; food is made more attractive and tasty. Anger is easily expressed and thrown on people. Who knows about forgiveness? We are all seeking peace, love, bliss and freedom, but we do not know the way. And even if we know a little about it, we are not ready to take the path as it demands much courage, patience and a lot of virtues, which are not easily achieved.

Emotion is the power that makes lovers consider each other as gods and even as God at times.  Emotion is the grossest state of love.  It is not love yet, though love can be born out of it.  It can be churned and transformed into love and there is a whole science and art to that.  Humanity has been fooled into believing that attraction and emotional attachment is love.  Some even say that where there is love, there is jealousy.  How far indeed such people are from love!
